  2. 02ONE OR EIGHT performs the ending theme “Yellow Brick Road.”
  3. 03Ayataka Tanemura directs the season at Studio Pierrot.

Black Clover Season 2 now has an exact date: October 3, 2026. The announcement published on Monday, September 7, says the anime will begin at 11 p.m. in Japan on the TV Tokyo network and affiliated stations. It replaces the previously announced October window with a firm broadcast commitment.

The production also confirmed more of its music package. ONE OR EIGHT performs “Yellow Brick Road,” the new season’s ending theme, while WANIMA performs the opening, “Kienai Riyu.” Official comments connect the ending song with Asta and his companions overcoming obstacles together. That is the artists’ description of the track, however, rather than evidence of unannounced plot developments.

Where the second season will be available

In Japan, TV Tokyo begins broadcasting the season on October 3, with BS TV Tokyo following on October 7. Anime Times, Lemino, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai were named as early streaming services, although their detailed release times and availability rules will be announced later.

Crunchyroll previously stated that it would continue streaming Black Clover when the anime returned. The September 7 Japanese announcement does not provide a complete international calendar or confirm that every territory will receive episodes at the same time. A simultaneous worldwide release therefore should not be treated as confirmed until the platform publishes territory-specific schedules.

The return after the original television run

Studio Pierrot remains the animation studio, with Ayataka Tanemura directing the new season. Tanemura worked on the latter portion of the earlier television series and directed Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. Gakuto Kajiwara and Nobunaga Shimazaki return as the Japanese voices of Asta and Yuno.

The original television run aired from 2017 to 2021. Season 2 moves into the escalating Spade Kingdom conflict, as the devil-powered Dark Triad threatens neighboring kingdoms and captures Queen Lolopechka, Yami, and Vangeance. Asta must deepen his connection to Liebe’s anti-magic power while Yuno and the Magic Knights prepare for a confrontation beyond the scale of the earlier arcs.

The anime’s return also follows the conclusion of Yuki Tabata’s manga, which ran from February 2015 to May 2026 in Weekly Shonen Jump and later Jump GIGA. The official site says the franchise has surpassed 24.5 million copies in circulation worldwide. That figure illustrates the audience accumulated during the five-year gap between regular television runs, but it does not by itself predict the new season’s performance.

What has not been confirmed

The production has not announced the episode count, whether the season will be split into cours, or precisely how far into the manga it will adapt. A Portuguese dub and its release date also remain unconfirmed. Official trailers and descriptions establish the Dark Triad conflict and Asta’s training, but detailed episode lists or claims about later arcs remain speculation.

With the premiere fixed, the story has moved from a broad release window to a concrete broadcast date. The next material announcements will be the international timetable, the season’s length, and regional dubbing plans.
